Putting on a really great show requires a talented, well-rehearsed act, professional sound equipment, and an experienced engineer with a good musical ear to ensure that all the dynamics and subtleties of the performance are effectively communicated to the audience.
You provide the talented act, and leave the rest to us. We have top quality gear, a professional attitude, and the technical and musical knowledge to make your performance sound better than even you thought was possible. Our experience ranges from classical to classic rock, from acoustic folk and bluegrass to contemporary country, with some gospel, blues, and other styles thrown in as well.
Most performers at some time or other have worked with engineers who make every act sound like 70's disco, simply because they want to show off their rigs earth-shaking bass, even if it's not appropriate for the musical style or number. They've put up with inarticulate vocals, poor mixes, "lost" solos, and front-of-house "sound gurus" with attitudes who want to "set and forget" the system after one or two tunes.
At Sound On Site we believe that the sound engineer is an important part of the production, and that your act deserves an attentive, musically savvy individual who pays attention to the unique needs of your performance on each and every number. We understand that "one size does not fit all" when it comes to setting up and mixing sound. Each system and show is tailored to the genre of music, including 70's disco, if that's your "thing", the venue, and the specific wants and needs of you - the customer!

Our good friend, Skip Zimmer retires as primary FOH engineer for Sound On Site and the Phins band to embark on his own musical projects. We wish him the best of success, while we welcome Phil Clark, who has been studying under Skip and Jerry to take over the helm at mixing the shows.

Sound On Site procured a new Allen & Heath 32-channel, eight-buss front of house console, expanding our channel capacity while improving the overall sonic characteristics of the main system. The new console positions the company better for handling larger acts, festivals, etc., with improved grouping and muting functionality over the previous board. Allen & Heath is one of the most respected brands in live sound consoles, and we look forward to many years of service from this new investment.
